Marin Family mini session

I was delighted when Adriana contacted me for family pictures! The Marin Family and I go a few years back.  They are some awesome and sweet people!  And their little girl... she's a photographer's dream!!  She smiled and posed and played along like this was her personal photo shoot!  But alas, this wasn't about her, haha!  Her husband Jonny's family were all going to be in town, which was something that hadn't happened in a long, long time because they all live in different parts of the world and she wanted to surprise them with family photos.  How sweet!  So Jonny, his mom, brother, and sister got some beautiful family pictures to go along with a sweet reunion!  Thank you for allowing me to capture such a precious family time!

Baez Family Session

I had completely forgot to share this family session I did not too long ago!  This is the Baez Family.  Elle Baez is a local photog who contacted me to do their family pictures and its always an honor to be asked by another photographer.

We met up at Urban Wetland Park, which I had never been to nor heard of.  And it was beautiful!!  Its like a piece of beautiful paradise in Orlando.  A beautiful lake surrounded by gigantic trees.  Simply beautiful.  So I'm so glad Elle found it and that we got to meet.  The Baez family is pretty awesome and fun!  Their little girl is so sweet and a dream to take pictures of!  Thanks for letting me capture your family!

Duncan-Wilson Wedding - Cincinnati, OH

I am so happy that I got the priviledge to photograph Lindsey and Nate's special day.  Lindsey is hands down one of the sweetest persons I know and anyone who knows her would agree.  We met a few years ago when she came down to Orlando for the Disney internship program.  She was a friend of a friend and started attending my church.   We clicked immediately and I love her! She is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and her happiness is contagious!   It was a sad day when she had to move back to Ohio, but God knows everything and she found her someone special. I don't know Nate as well as I know Lindsey, but from what I saw, he completes her.  They are perfect together and his love for her is obvious.

So about a little less than a year ago, Lindsey contacted me and asked me to photograph her wedding saying she wanted no one else.  Well... no pressure.  haha!  And the day finally came and I got to fly out to Ohio for the first time!  (Which I found to be beautiful and picturesque, by the way).  It was a beautiful day!  ...Until about 2 hours before the ceremony and then it started raining.  But, they totally worked it out, made a few re-arrangements and it was just as beautiful!

Lindsey and Nate, I wish you nothing but happiness and love for years and years to come.

Meyers Newborn Session

I finally got the chance to sit down and blog about this sweet baby and her family!  I am honored that I was asked to photograph them.  A little backstory...

I have often posted about a group of mom friends I have from an online forum.  We all have the same age kids from August 2012 and have become fairly close, although we've never met.  So I was honored when I was so graciously recommended to the Meyers family by one of those sweet mom friends of mine, Court!  (She also happens to be my blogger mom friend from A Life From Scratch.  Check her out!) She is very good friends with the Meyers from Chicago!  So one day I get a phone call and it was Joshua and they were going to be in Florida for the birth of the sweet baby girl they're going to be adopting and they wanted to do a newborn session after she was born.  I was so excited!  What a sweet, joyful thing to get the chance to capture!

The Meyers family are as genuine and awesome as they come!  I immediately felt at home with them in the midst of the chaos of getting ready for the pictures with a newborn & a 2 year old and Joshua telling me their amazing stories about adopting their two precious daughters.  I am so happy that they chose me.  The love is very evident in that family and I hope God continues to bless their sweet home!

Frymier family mini session

Its been a while since I've posted a session!  But I'm back!  The summer kinda slows down for me cause in Orlando, FL its just so hot to be doing outside sessions.  But I did a mini session give away to get things moving again and the Frymier family were the winners!  I've photographed this family before and they're always so awesome to work with.  Not only are they a beautiful family inside and out, but sweet, and amazing to work with.  And I just love little Levi; he is a friendly little guy who doesn't meet a stranger!

On a side note, we did the session in historical Mt. Dora, FL which I just love!  Its a cute little town with so many perfect pictures spots!  Unfortunately, this day, they were doing road construction right smack dab through the main street. :(  We made due though at a local historical house and a dessert shop!

If you ask mom for a sippy...

 photo mom_zpse9651546.jpg

A mother's day tale I wrote after my mother's day...

There should be a story written about moms similar to "If you give a mouse a cookie". If you ask mom for a sippy, she's going realize its close to bedtime and should probably change the kid first. While she's changing him, she realizes he needs a bath. So on to the bath! While giving the bath she's going to decide in that moment to clean the bathroom! Why not? Kid is having fun playing. Mom...ents later bathroom is sparkling, kid is bathed. As she took the kid out, however, she noticed the mat is due for wash, so she just throws it in the washer. After the bath is done and the kid is in PJ's and back in the living room, she's going to realize said kid made a big crumb mess in the living room so she's going give a quick vacuum. Then mom remembers, "sippy!" But she's going to have to clean it because all other sippy's have been used. While she's in the kitchen, she's going to hear the washer stop (because its in the kitchen) and go get the bathtub mat she threw in there. So she takes the tub mat back to the bathroom where she notices that the tub needs to be washed too! So...

You get the idea. If any mom ever has the time and energy to write the book, just give me some credit. Chances are... no mom will ever have that time or energy though.  Here's to all the mom's who work hard and are the best multi-taskers. May you remember to give your kid the sippy they asked for 2 hours ago.

Huba Family Mini Session

Photographing families is fun and this family is full of fun and love.  This is the Huba family and they're pretty awesome people!  Their daughters, Ivy and Mercy, are adorable and giggly and total girly-girls.  The Huba's just moved out to Orlando and I wish them the best as they settle in and make it their new home!

iPhone wallpapers why you so hard to find??

So I am always on the lookout for cute wallpapers, but I am picky when it comes to them.  I love modern yet cute yet not too girly and clean design.  I mean put that in a google search.  I've found an awesome iPhone wallpaper designer and they were free!   Then her website shut down and I didn't save her designs.  Boo... So I came across this cute one, but it was an iPhone case, but I wanted it in a wallpaper! Darn it!  And then I decided "I'm gonna make my own!"  And I did.  Check it out below.  I'll probably see about designing a few more. Right now I'm really into this geometric look. I don't know what it is about it, but I love it.  It was literally way too easy.  I should have done this forever ago.  I did it in Picmonkey website, which is like photoshop for dummies (aka: me).  But if you're photoshop savvy, do it.  Its fun and you can make them your own!

Feel free to take it if you want it!  I just wanted to show off my 5 seconds of lightbulb moment.  Freebie iPhone wallpaper!  :)

Jones Family Beach Session

Yay for more photography posts!  Knocking these out!

This is the sweet Jones family.  I actually met Amanda in a mommy/baby online community website called The Bump.  We post posted there in the same birth month group for our August 2012 babies.  Well, 2 years later, we get to meet in person and I got the privilege of taking their family pictures while they vacationed here in Ormond Beach, FL.  We actually met up in Daytona Beach for the pictures though.  Coincidentally (or not, since the name has risen in popularity) their son's name is Liam as well.  Such a cute little boy!  I will say, he had just woken up from a nap and made me work for it.  Its all good though, I got a few smiles out of him!  Thanks for letting me capture your cute family Amanda!

Tyler & Caitlin's Engagement Session

I'm a little behind on photography blog posts and trying to catch up tonight!  Here is an engagement session I did recently for Tyler & Caitlin.  I've known Caitlin since she was about 13 and to see her engaged and about to be married is just crazy to me, but I am genuinely happy for her!  She's about as sincere and sweet as they come!  And she did a great job picking a partner for life.  Tyler & Caitlin are adorable together!  Its not hard to get them to be flirty with each other.  We started out in downtown Orlando and then headed over to beautiful Cypress Grove Park and finally at the dock where he proposed.

Tyler & Caitlin, congrats again!  Enjoy the next few months as an engaged love birds and I look forward to watching your journey unfold!

WWWW

Hey everyone!  Its been a while since I did a blog post and even longer since I did What We Wore Wednesday…  So here it is! Unfortunately I didn't get a picture of Liam!  He took a late nap and was a hot mess when he woke up.  So just Christian and me this time.  I wish I could blog more, but I don't ever know what to post about!  So photography and fashion is what you get from me.  :)

So here is Christian.  He just got a fresh hair cut and is looking slick.  My handsome boy is growing up too fast.  He is wearing a striped top from JCrew CrewCuts and Shaun White teal pants from Target.  Shoes are boat shoes from Old Navy.  I love skinny colored pants on Christian.  He has the perfect type of body for this style.  He's such a little model.

On myself is a brown skirt I actually got at Plato's Closet (consignment shop) a few years ago.  Its perfect and goes with all.  The sequins top is from Old Navy.  It has one of my favorite colors.  Finally the cardi is from Old Navy.  We all know I love Old Navy and really they should be paying me for these posts!  lol..  Oh and the shoes are Nine West from forever ago.  I will be very sad if I ever mess them up.

I hope to do WWWW at least once a month if life permits.  I love fashion and I love posting about it.  Hope you'll join me some time??

Amber Glover's senior session

So this little chicky right here has a special place in my life/heart. We met because I was her youth leader, but since we've just become friends.  She's 15 years younger than me, but she gets me and I get her. Truly she's a 70 year old woman in a 17 year olds (soon to be 18!) body.  She makes me laugh and I keep her from being a dramatic teenager/crotchety old woman.  She keeps me young and I keep her from going "old lady" on people.  Its complicated!  haha!  I can't wait till she's 20 so it won't be weird that we're friends.  :)

Anyway… I had the privilege and honor to take her senior pictures for her.  She's such a smart girl with a bright future ahead of her.  I can't wait to see what path she chooses in life, but whatever it is, I know she will excel!  Here is Miss Amber Glover… Class of 2014!  Keep it Classy Amber… ;)

Brielle & Zayk Molina wedding

Here is a blog that's been a long time coming!  I shot a wedding not too long ago and have been dying to share these pictures, but I wanted to get the pictures to the bride first.  Brielle and Zayk were such a pleasure to work with and you can just tell how in love they are with each other and with their little son Jovan.  I'm so happy they let me capture their special day!
